2013-2014 Board of Directors

CarolPresident Carol Prellberg

BS in Home Economics and Education, Rutgers University; past board member for Hudson County Community Action Program, Trinity Lutheran Church, Morris County Polio Network, and Will Rogers Homeowners Association.

Carol and her husband live in both Arizona and New Jersey, where they grew up and raised their daughter. She retired after teaching for twenty-one years in an inner-city school system, where she witnessed many children who never got to celebrate their birthdays because their famillies lived on the edge of poverty. She is also a polio survivor who spent many months in hospitals as a child, and she remembers what it was like to be there on her birthday. That’s why she’s so excited to be able to work with Birthdays Remembered and support its great mission.

BR-Patti Wilson-MUG

Vice President
Patti Lynn Wilson

Scottsdale High School graduate.   Banker with Comerica Mesa-Gateway Banking Center, Mesa, AZ since 2007. Administrative Professional/Office Coordinator.  Editorial Assistant in Corporate Communications with Comerica Bank (San Jose, CA)  2005

Patti’s parents grew up in the depression years and her dad’s life experience meant that birthdays were simply not celebrated.  Growing up Patti and her siblings had plenty of gifts for birthdays and holidays.  Only after she was grown though did she realize it was because her dad moonlighted selling Christmas cards after he put in a full day at his airline job.  Patti lost her dad this year and to honor his memory (the man whose birthday was never celebrated as a child), she has joined with Birthdays Remembered to ensure Arizona’s children don’t share that experience.

Raised by hard-working parents who never quite seemed to have enough money for extras, she was thrilled to get involved with Birthdays Remembered. The idea of being able to make a child’s birthday special was a cause that Lea felt drawn to. She has been involved with Birthdays Remembered since 2011.
